Buyer Protection Guide

Learn how guarantee transactions protect your payments

What is a Guarantee Transaction?

In a guarantee transaction, the merchant must pre-deposit a security bond to demonstrate their credibility and reduce transaction risk. Your payment still goes directly to the merchant - the platform does not hold your funds.

Please note: Your payment goes directly to the merchant's wallet. The platform only provides limited protection through the deposit mechanism.

What does this mechanism provide?

When you choose a guarantee transaction, it means:

  • The merchant has locked funds as a performance guarantee
  • If the transaction completes successfully, no deposit is deducted
  • If clear breach occurs, the platform can provide limited compensation from the merchant's deposit

This reduces transaction risk to some extent and enhances your confidence.

Does the platform guarantee full refunds?

No.

The deposit guarantee mechanism is not a full refund or escrow service.

  • Compensation is limited to the deposit amount reserved for this transaction
  • Full transaction amount is not guaranteed
  • Actual compensation depends on rule execution

What happens if there's a dispute?

When a dispute occurs:

  • The transaction is marked as "In Dispute"
  • Auto-settlement process is paused
  • The platform does not directly adjudicate the outcome

You can negotiate with the merchant or wait for automatic processing where rules permit.

How do I know if this transaction is protected?

Before placing an order, you can see:

  • Whether the merchant has enabled guarantee protection
  • The maximum compensation amount for this transaction
  • The merchant's historical performance (success rate, dispute history)

We recommend confirming this information before completing your transaction.
